Communities in Bloom is a volunteer based, Canadian non-profit organization, committed to fostering civic pride, environmental responsibility, beautification and to improving quality of life through community participation and the opportunity to participate in a national program.

If you would like to become involved with Strathmore Communities In Bloom, please contact Chairman Rob Pirie at [email protected] for more information.

We are excited to start planning for 2016 projects: the 9th phase of Strathmore's Birth Forest in Green Meadow, new Community Gardens located at Hope Community Covenant Church at Brent Boulevard, and other community initiatives!

Municipalities are evaluated on the following criteria:
  • Tidiness
  • Environmental Action
  • Heritage Conservation
  • Urban Forestry
  • Landscape
  • Turf & Groundcovers
  • Floral Displays
  • Community Involvement

Four sectors and examined within each criterion:
  • Municipal
  • Business/Institutions
  • Residential
  • Community Involvement
